We will be using the Invictus mod and are not a toxic or competitive. Each session will continue the last session’s game until we finish or vote to start a new season. We will be playing every Tuesday at 6:30 EST until around 9:30 EST. This update provides a significant reworking of the military system in the game, adding new features that transform war and army management: Me and some friends are starting a new season of Imperator multiplayer games. They're committed to it though, clearly and a big free update is out now with Imperator: Rome 2.0 Marius. I might be far too optimistic but I think IR could have 6,000+ daily players if Paradox really focused on QA and bug testing, recycled EU4’s steady diplomacy (factions breaking alliances at 100+ opinion) and vassals, and developed a trade system that uses IR’s current trade goods feature.Ready to try Imperator: Rome again? Paradox have been busy overhauling quite a lot of it, with it still being one of the worst rated Paradox titles by users overall. Not supporting that they should make a new game though. Several sources of build cost in invention trees reduced to -2.5 from -5. Build Cost modifier from ruler finesse reduced to -1 per point. Build Cost modifier from Stone surplus in capital reduced to -5 from -10. If development was actually over then I’m hoping they would have stated it like CA did with 3 kingdoms. Population Capacity and Pop Growth from Great Wonders modifiers reduced by roughly 25. While fans don’t like hearing it, at least the nail has been hammered in but Paradox have stated there will not be development while they restructure their teams during the pandemic. Mainly being that the game is actually great and I’ll lose hours playing it sometimes but it suffers from a lot of bugs and some design choices (king generals, more events needed), lack of polish surrounding trade and diplomacy and by looking at other Studios like Creative Assembly being upfront that there will be no more DLC on Three Kingdoms. There’s a lot of pessimism that it won’t but I think in the future it will.
